HiSET Online Test Requirements

If you plan to take the HiSET test online, make sure you use a device with a webcam with a solid internet connection and that you are in a private location where you won’t be disturbed.

Remember that a proctor will verify your identity before the exam. You need to authenticate your identity by showing an official ID with your photo. Military IDs and credit cards are not allowed. 

You will be also asked to install Secure Browser, which will start a Security Check of your computer. Then it will prompt you to close any prohibited processes you currently have running according to your test rules.

After these prep steps, your HiSET test will start.
